In the 70’s, Silvia’s husband “disappears” in the hands of the military during the dictatorship in Argentina. Still young and with a small child, she must look ahead in order to reconstruct her life. She remarries, and tries to regain the happiness that was taken away from her. But twenty years later, an unexpected event forces Silvia to look back at her past: an English filmmaker (Vanessa Redgrave) arrives in Buenos Aires to shoot a film based on a script written by an old friend of Silvia’s, who centered the story in a painful fragment of Silvia’s life. This riveting, intimate drama explores the idea that individuals and societies can construct a future free from the repetitions of the past, if they manage to retrieve and reconcile their memories, even the most painful ones.
