(Argentina, 1981. 89 min. In Spanish with English subtitles)
Lucía, a childless middle-aged landscape architect is comfortably married when, for professional reasons, she meets Nicolas, a seductive young man who is also married and has two children. He falls madly in love with her and little by little, Lucía finds herself reliving those forgotten years of passionate love she experienced with her short-lived first marriage. Academy Award-nominated Maria Luisa Bemberg, who died in 1995, wrote and directed MOMENTOS, her bracing first feature, at the age of fifty-eight. The first female director in the region to have achieved consistent international success, Bemberg became one Argentina’s most important and prolific filmmakers.
