Gael García Bernal to Receive First Jaeger-LeCoultre Latin Cinema Award

Mexican actor Gael García Bernal will be the recipient of the first edition of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Latin Cinema Award at the upcoming 64th edition of the San Sebastian Film Festival in Spain.

The new award presented by the luxury Swiss watch and clock manufacturer will be given to prominent figures in the Latin cinema world. The award will be presented to García Bernal by Laurent Vinay, International Communications Director at Jaeger-LeCoultre, at the gala premiere of Pablo Larraín's Neruda at the Victoria Eugenia Theater on September 17.

This will mark the third visit of the Mexican Golden Globe-winning Mexican actor after he participated with Alejandro González Iñárritu's Amores Perros in 2000, and a year later with Alfonso Cuarón's Y Tu Mamá También and Fito Páez's Vidas privadas / Private Lives.
