Launched in 2008, Janeiro in New York is a special initiative created by Cinema Tropical with the support of the Consulate General of Brazil in New York City, and spearheaded by Mary Jane Marcasiano, which has presented numerous documentary films featuring the best of Brazilian music with some of its most outstanding performers.
