The Argentine crime thriller 4x4 directed by Mariano Cohn (Living Stars, The Distinguished Citizen) will be released on digital platforms and on VOD on Tueday, February 2 by the hand of distribution company Red Hound Films.
Starring Peter Lanzani (The Clan), Dady Breva (The Distinguished Citizen), Luis Brandoni (The Weasels’ Tale; Heroic Losers), and based on true events, the film follows a petty thief who tries to rob an ordinary-looking car parked in the street, but he finds out that his target is actual a high-tech machine—one that's determined to trap him inside unless he can find a way to escape. To make matters worse, someone on the outside is in control of the car, and they seem to have a plan.
A favorite at Fantastic Fest and the Sitges Film Festival, the film has been hailed as “a dark thriller that has a social conscience… encompasses elements of black humor to accompany the imaginative action” (Screen Anarchy), "4×4 is lean and fascinatingly detailed….
