JULIA SOLOMONOFF (Director)
 
Julia Solomonoff is a graduate of the Centro de Experimentacion y Realizacion Cinematografica in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and a Fulbright graduate of Columbia University’s MFA program.  Prior to Hermanas, Solomonoff worked as an assistant director, most notably on Walter Salles’s The Motorcycle Diaries (04) and has directed the short films Octavo 51 (92), A Day with Angela (93), Siesta (98), Scratch (01), and Ahora (03). Hermanas, her first feature film, was a 2006 Toronto Film Festival Selection, and the original script was selected by the Sundance Lab, the Paris Seminary of Scriptwriters, and the Berlinale Talent Campus.
