Opting for fixed shots and remaining constantly anchored on the point of view of its characters, young Ricardo, Bebo and Pata, Paralluelo immerses the spectator in a world that is certainly difficult, but that the film always manages to transcend, thanks to its unerring attention to the words of these resilient beings and the pictorial quality of a mise en scène that recalls Pedro Costa.” — DA Films
