The Morelia Film Festival in Mexico has announced this morning the official lineup for its 2016 edition in four different competitions: Mexican Fiction, Mexican Documentary, Mexican Short Film, and the local Michoacán section. 

The fiction competition is comprised by 13 feature films: 3 ZENE or (Waking Up From My Bosnian Dream) by Sergio Flores Thorija, La caja vacía by Claudia Sainte-Luce, Dania by Dariela Ludlow, Lupe bajo el sol / Lupe Under the Sun by Rodrigo Reyes, Minezota by Carlos Enderle, Pacífico by Fernanda Romandía, El peluquero romántico by Iván Ávila Dueñas, La región salvaje/  The Untamed by Amat Escalante, El sueño del Mara’akame by Federico Cecchetti, Tenemos la carne / We Are the Flesh by Emiliano Rocha Minter, Tiempo sin pulso by Bárbara Ochoa Castañeda, Las tinieblas by Daniel Castro Zimbrón, Todo lo demás / Everything Else by Natalia Almada, El vigilante by Diego Ros, and Zeus by Miguel Calderón.

Competing for the Best Documentary Award are the Mexican films Batallas íntimas by Lucía Gajá, Bellas de noche / Beauties of the Night by María José Cuevas, El buen cristiano by Izabel Acevedo, El Charro de Toluquilla by José Villalobos Romero, Las letras by Pablo Chavarría Gutiérrez, Mexicanos de bronce by Julio Jesús Fernández Talamantes, Mientras se busca al Diablo by Danniel Danniel and Diego Gutiérrez, Los niños de la Cruz by Jaime Villa, El Remolino by Laura Herrero Garvín, Resurrección by Eugenio Polgovsky, La Selva Negra by Saul Kak and Charles Fairbanks, Somos lengua by Kyzza Terrazas, Tempestad by Tatiana Huezo.

The 14th annual edition of the Morelia Film Festival will be held October 21-30, in Mexico.
