The comedy film ¿Qué culpa tiene el niño? (roughly translated as "Who’s to blame the baby?") has become the third grossing Mexican time of all time one month after it was theatrical released. The film has earned $192.3 million pesos (about $1.04 million USD) and has been seen over 4.09 million people, displacing Luis Estrada’s La dictadura perfecta/ The Perfect Dictatorship from the third place in the list of highest grossing Mexican films.
Directed by Gustavo Loza and starring Karla Souza, Ricardo Abarca, Chucho Ochoa and Mara Escalante, ¿Qué culpa tine el niño? tells the story of Maru, a successful 29-year-old daughter of a politician who by "accident of fate" is pregnant and does not know who the father is. ¿Qué culpa tine el niño? is behind No se aceptan devoluciones / Instructions Not Included (Eugenio Derbez, 2013) and Nosotros los Nobles / We Are the Nobles (Gary Alazraki, 2013) in the list of top grossing Mexican films of all time.
