Natalia Almada, Karim Aïnouz and Alejandro Landes to Directors Fortnight


Three Latin American productions were selected for this year's edition of Directors Fortnight, the independent section of the Cannes Film Festival, as it was announced a few hours ago. The Latin American productions selected are Karim Aïnouz's O abismo prateado (Brazil), Alejandro Landes' PorfirioEl Velador (Mexico/US), which was recently premiered at New Directors/New Films in New York City and will be shown as a special out-of-competition screening in the festival. The short film Mila Caos (Germany/Cuba) by director Simon Peatau that was also recently featured at New Directors/New Films will also be featured in the short film selection.
