Pariente / Guilty Man, the debut feature by Colombian filmmaker Ivan D. Gaona will make its world premiere as part of the competition of Venice Days, the independent section of the Venice International Film Festival, which in its 12th edition will take place August 31 - September 10.
Pariente, the only Latin American film in competition at Venice Days, is a contemporary Western set against the backdrop of corruption and brutal politics. This is the second Colombian film announced to participate at the 2016 Venice Film Festival, as it joins Juan Sebastián Meza's Los nadie / The Nobodies, which will participate at the festival's Critics Week section.
