After premiering two films at the last edition of the Toronto Film Festival—the Oscar winner A Fantastic Woman and his English-language debut Disobedience—the prolific Chilean filmmaker Sebastián Lelio will return to TIFF this September to present the world premiere of his most recent film, the English-language remake of his acclaimed 2013 film Gloria starring American actress Julianne Moore (Still Alice).
Titled Gloria Bell, the US-Chilean production follows a free-spirited, middle-aged divorcee hoping to find love on the dance floor. Also starring actors John Turturro, Michael Cera, Brad Garrett, Holland Taylor and Caren Pistorius, the film will have its world premiere in the Special Presentations sidebar of the Canadian film festival.
The 2018 edition of the Toronto Film Festival will take place September 6 - 16.
