New York Theatrical Release of THEY DREAM

THEYDREAM
A film by William D. Caballero
(USA, 2026, In English and Spanish with English subtitles)

Blending 2D and 3D animation, vérité footage, and archival materials, TheyDream, the deeply personal documentary by Puerto Rican-American filmmaker William D. Caballero, explores the transformative power of art in the face of loss. Following the death of his grandmother Isolina, Caballero witnesses his mother struggle with grief and guilt over not being by her side in her final moments. Hoping to help her heal, he invites her to collaborate on an animated recreation of her mother's life, embarking on an intimate creative journey that brings family memories back to life. Both formally inventive and deeply moving, TheyDream is a poignant meditation on grief, memory, and the healing power of artistic collaboration.
