Exclusive Clip From the Guatemalan Thriller CADEJO BLANCO

The Guatemalan nail-biting thriller Cadejo Blanco, the third feature film by director Justin Lerner, is currently playing at the Laemmle Noho 7 in Los Angeles, before expanding to other U.S. cities. Featuring a cast with almost entirely non-professional actors, and in the vein of Sin Nombre and Maria Full of Grace, the film deeps into the underbelly of gang culture in the Central American country.

Praised for its "gritty authenticity" (Screen Daily), Cadejo Blanco tells the story of a working-class girl from Guatemala City who travels to a small coastal town to infiltrate a gang in order to find her sister, who has gone missing. Executive produced by Guatemalan filmmakers César Díaz, Pamela Guinea and Juan Ayau, the movie stars Karen Martínez, Rudy Rodríguez, Brando López, Pamela Martínez and Juan Pablo Olyslager.

Nominated for Mexico’s Ariel Award for Best Ibero-American film, Cadejo Blanco will have its streaming release this July. Check out an exclusive clip of the film, courtesy of Film Movement, the company behind its U.S. distribution:
